The exterior design of the all-new BMW XM 50e is a statement of exclusivity, presence and performance just like its sibling. The proportions of a modern SAV, powerful contours, a dynamically stretched silhouette,
M-typical design cues, a reworked interpretation of the front-end look created for BMW’s luxury-segment models and a host of distinctive accents give the XM a singularly extrovert aura. M-typical design elements give it a bold and confident appearance, heightened by split headlights, an ‘Iconic Glow’ kidney grille, and continuous contour lighting. On the side, a colour strip reminiscent of the one on the BMW M1, adds to the striking appearance. The BMW XM’s design also incorporates nostalgic features such as BMW emblems etched into the rear window and sculpted rear lights. Details in black high gloss and a black accent band create striking contrasts.
The all-new BMW XM 50e displays the power it contains from the very first metre, with the M TwinPower Turbo Inline 6-cylinder petrol engine and M Hybrid drive system delivering a system output of 350 kW/476 hp and 700 Nm of torque, demonstrating confident performance from the very first metre. As a result,
the BMW XM 50e needs just 5.1 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. The M Hybrid button on the centre console is used to select one of three operating modes, including an ELECTRIC setting for cruising with zero local emissions, delivering maximum power at 145 kW/197 hp and peak torque at
280 Nm at speeds of up to 140 km/h. This is thanks to the lithium-ion high-voltage battery mounted in the car’s underbody and the 29.5 kWh of usable energy it provides.
The M xDrive technology ensures that power is effectively transferred to the road and elevates driving dynamics. The Adaptive M Suspension Professional provides sporty handling without compromising on comfort for drivers. Additionally, Driving Assistant Professional with Active Cruise Control featuring the Stop&Go function not only maintains the desired speed and distance to the vehicle in front, but also keeps the vehicle on track with steering interventions. For maximum comfort, Parking Assistant Plus also makes parking and manoeuvring the vehicle easier.
On the inside, the all-new BMW XM 50e boasts striking design and exceptional levels of comfort. The cabin is decorated with M Interior Trim Finishers ‘Carbon Fibre’, while the M Leather steering wheel and M seatbelts provide passengers with a sporty and sleek feeling. The sculptural headliner is quite unique, with its three-dimensional prism structure, photo mount-style border and 100 LED units for illumination. The BMW Individual instrument panel finished in leather offers an eye-catching and extravagant design for the interior. Ambient lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, active seat ventilation and massage function in the front seats come as standard features.
The all-new BMW XM 50e also includes a modern infotainment system – the BMW Head-up Display and the latest BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 12.3” Control Display running the latest BMW Operating System, which opens up a greater range of personalisation options. The BMW IconicSounds Electric enables emotionally engaging drive sound even in locally emission-free driving mode. Another feature is smartphone integration, which allows the driver and passengers to wirelessly connect their mobile devices to the vehicle via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
