Nakhon Pathom. BMW Thailand brought its 13th consecutive season of the world’s largest amateur golf tournament, the BMW Golf Cup 2026, to Nikanti Golf Club in Nakhon Pathom province, where over 2,000 amateur golfers have competed across 17 qualifying rounds throughout the country.
This year sees a streamlined competition format, with men now competing in a single unified category (Handicap 0–28) alongside the Ladies’ category (Handicap 0–28), raising the competitive stakes for all participants. Of the entire field, only 68 golfers will earn their place at the National Final in November 2026, a high-stakes showdown where just two top will be selected to represent Thailand on the world stage.
For those who make it to the World Final, the experience is truly one of a kind. The BMW Golf Cup World Final 2025, held at Fancourt, South Africa in March 2026, demonstrated the exceptional level and intensity of international competition, a powerful motivation driving every golfer in this qualifying round to push for the National Final title and, ultimately, a place at the BMW Golf Cup World Final 2026.
Furthermore, part of the proceeds from the BMW Golf Cup has been contributed to the Chaipattana Foundation to support the Foundation’s operations. Established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the Foundation works to improve the quality of life of the Thai people through various projects covering many areas across the country. This longstanding support reflects BMW Thailand’s unwavering commitment to delivering lasting value to society.
