Bangkok. Performance Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., an official BMW dealer with four branches in Ramindra, Charansanitwong, Don Mueang, and Ratchapruek under Sime Darby Motors, has secured 11 awards from BMW Thailand, reaffirming its excellence in sales, aftersales service and sustainable business practices. Performance Motors Thailand received the Dealer Champions League Award 2023, highlighting outstanding sales and service performance with three awards from three branches among the BMW official dealerships and seven aftersales service awards, reinforcing its leadership reputation in delivering superior customer experiences, reflecting long-standing customer trust and satisfaction. Additionally, Performance Motors Thailand has demonstrated its commitment to sustainable business practices which is recognised through the Excellence in Electromobility Initiatives award. This was achieved through its promotion of electric vehicle (EV) use among executives and employees, aligning with its mission of providing sustainable mobility solutions as an automotive player. This (the mission) is demonstrated by its plans to invest 340 million baht in a new showroom and service centre in Ayutthaya, which aims for a 20% sales growth by the end of 2024.

In addition, Performance Motors Thailand is committed to create a sustainable environment with a target to reduce carbon emissions by 25%-30% by 2030. This initiative begins with the “Beyond Expectations: E Drive” project, which promotes the transition to the EV era by incorporating various BMW electric series vehicles into the fleet for executive use and encouraging employees to switch to electric cars. Employees who purchase EVs will receive financial support, aligning with BMW Group’s mission to encourage EV adoption. This initiative has earned the Excellence in Electromobility Initiatives Award for 2023. Furthermore, Performance Motors Thailand plans to implement a wastewater treatment system and responsibly dispose of used oil to ensure reduced impact on the environment and nearby communities. The company is also adopting clean energy to generate electricity, starting with the installation of solar panels at the Performance Motors service centres in Ratchapruek and Charansanitwong, expected to be completed by 2024.

Since 2020, we have invested in expanding our showroom and service areas nationwide. It started with the opening of the Performance Motors Don Mueang branch, a project with a budget of 260 million baht. We continued our investment with an additional 400 million baht to open the Performance Motors Ratchapruek branch in 2022, under the “Retail.Next” concept, which features a modern design that comes with a ‘Phygital’ experience, blending physical and digital interactions to offer the most advanced and comprehensive service centre experience.
In August 2024, Performance Motors plans to open another showroom in Ayutthaya with an investment of 340 million baht. This will bring the total business expansion investment since 2020 to 1 billion baht. The Ayutthaya branch aims to serve as a luxury car service centre for BMW, MINI and premium pre-owned cars. With these business development plans, including service enhancements, exclusive customer benefits and business expansion investments, it is expected that overall sales in both BMW car distribution and the premium pre-owned car service centre will grow by 20% by the end of 2024.
“And by 2030, Performance Motors Thailand plans to continuously expand its showroom and BMW certified body and paint service centres to at least six locations nationwide, along with five premium pre-owned car centers across Bangkok. This expansion ensures that customers can enjoy a comprehensive range of services, from browsing and purchasing luxurious imported vehicles to receiving worldclass BMW-certified body and paint repairs. This commitment underscores the achievement of Performance Motors Thailand being a leader in both sales and service,” Mr. Paul concluded.
