BMW Thailand is introducing the first high-performance M vehicle with a powerful plug-in hybrid system in the first-ever BMW XM – a bespoke, luxury Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) filled with unique interior components and eye-catching exterior features. Also, the BMW XM brings a new perspective
to the SAV concept for the high-performance segment, offering drivers an unparalleled M experience on every journey. The special M Sports Activity Vehicle model will soon be available for purchase via online booking in Thailand.

The first-ever BMW XM boasts a sleek and sophisticated design, with dynamic proportions and striking contours. Its modern SAV silhouette is accented by distinct M-typical design elements, giving it a bold and confident appearance. The front of the BMW XM is defined by its split headlights, an ‘Iconic Glow’ kidney grille, and continuous contour lighting. Adaptive LED headlights improve visibility and give better illumination of the road ahead through corners. The high-beam assistant automatically switches high beams on and off when there is oncoming traffic or a vehicle in front of the car. Additionally, the first-ever BMW XM also offers a comfort access system, which enables drivers to enter the car without holding the remote control, and a soft-close function that helps the driver and passengers get in and out the car softly and quietly. On the side, a colour strip reminiscent of the one on the BMW M1, adds to the striking appearance. The BMW XM’s design also incorporates nostalgic features such as BMW emblems etched into the rear window and sculpted rear lights. The 23-inch M light-alloy wheels in star spoke bicolour come as standard for an even more stunning characteristic.
The first-ever BMW XM is powered by a 4.4-litre V8-cylinder petrol engine with cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology. The M HYBRID drive system equipped in the BMW XM enhances performance while generating zero local emissions when cruising, delivering an overall output of 480 kW/653 hp with a maximum torque of up to 800 Nm. The combustion engine generates engine power with up to 360 kW/489 hp at 5,400-7,200 rpm, with a maximum torque of up to 650 rpm at 1,600-5,000 rpm; the electric drive system delivers motor power with up to 145 kW/197 hp with an electric motor torque of 280 Nm. The M Hybrid button on the centre console is used to select one of three operating modes, including an ELECTRIC setting for cruising with zero local emissions at speeds of up to 140 km/h and over a maximum distance of 82 – 88 km in the WLTP cycle. This is thanks to the lithium-ion high-voltage battery mounted in the car’s underbody and the 25.7 kWh of usable energy it provides. The BMW XM accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and to a top speed of 270 km/h. The M xDrive technology installed in the first-ever BMW XM ensures that power is effectively transferred to the road and elevates driving dynamics. The M Sport differential enhances vehicle performance by distributing driving power between the rear wheels, and improving traction and stability in various driving situations, while the Adaptive M Suspension Professional provides sporty handling without compromising on comfort for drivers. Additionally, Driving Assistant Professional with Active Cruise Control featuring the Stop&Go function not only maintains the desired speed and distance to the vehicle in front, but also keeps the vehicle on track with steering interventions. For maximum comfort, Parking Assistant Plus also makes parking and manoeuvring the vehicle easier.
Several safety systems are incorporated as standard to provide the driver and passengers with extra peace of mind, such as airbags for the driver and front passenger, as well as side airbags and head-level airbags. The Intelligent Emergency Call and Teleservices guarantee professional support in an emergency situation regardless of location. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist and Active Protection are also included to ensure control and detection of critical driving situations. Meanwhile, acoustic and passive pedestrian protection systems can help reduce the risk to pedestrians in the vicinity of the vehicle.
On the inside, the first-ever BMW XM provides passengers with exceptional levels of comfort. Standard specifications include M multifunction seats with seat heating for driver and front passenger. The cabin is decorated with M Interior Trim Finishers ‘Carbon Fibre’, while the M Leather steering wheel and M seatbelts provide passengers with a sporty and sleek feeling. The sculptural headliner is quite unique with its three-dimensional prism structure, photo mount-style border and 100 LED units for illumination. The BMW Individual instrument panel finished in leather offers an eye-catching and extravagant design for the interior. Ambient lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, active seat ventilation and massage function in the front seats come as standard features.
The first-ever BMW XM also includes a modern infotainment system – the BMW Head-up Display and the latest BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 12.3” Control Display running the latest BMW Operating System 8, which opens up a greater range of personalisation options. The BMW IconicSounds Electric enables emotionally engaging drive sound even in locally emission-free driving mode. Furthermore, the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System delivers the utmost in immersive audio performance, with a 1,475-watt amplifier and four additional speakers in the roof area. Another feature is smartphone integration, which allows driver and passengers to wirelessly connect their mobile device to the vehicle via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The first-ever BMW XM is available in seven exterior colours: Black Sapphire, Cape York Green, Carbon Black, Dravit Grey, Marina Bay Blue, Mineral White, and Toronto Red, as well as four BMW Individual Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery interior colours: Deep Lagoon, Silverstone, Black, and Sakhir Orange. Exterior customisation is further extended with two accent options: The gold and black accent packages which adorns door frames and wheels in their respective colours.
