Bangkok. Bangkok. BMW Group Thailand recently kicked off the qualifying round of the BMW Golf Cup 2024, the world’s largest tournament for amateur golfers at Nikanti Golf Club, Nakorn Pathom. From the qualifying round, 120 amateur golfers will be chosen from among 2,800 participants nationwide to compete at the National Final in November 2024,
from which three winners will qualify to represent Thailand at the World Final in March 2025.
The BMW Golf Cup 2024 qualifying round started from January 2024, with a total of 20 tournaments held across provinces all over Thailand, including Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phitsanulok, Chiang Mai, Suratthani, Songkhla, Phuket, Pattaya, and Nakhon Pathom. The last 9 tournaments will be held on 24 May 2024 in Bangkok. In addition, the amateur golfers who manage to hit a hole-in-one at selected holes will receive special prizes*, including:
- An exclusive trip for 2 people to participate in a Driving Experience with BMW in South Korea in 2025 for the golfer who hits a hole-in-one at the 2nd hole, awarded by BMW Financial Services Thailand**.
- A Bowers & Wilkins Formation Duo Speaker with stand, awarded to the first golfer who hits a hole-in-one at the 8th hole, awarded by Bower & Wilkins.
- A set of T-Series iron golf clubs and a golf bag for the first golfer who hits a hole-in-one at the 14th hole, awarded by Titleist, the world-class producer of golf equipment and apparel products.
- A Luxury Garmin Golf Watch, MARQ Golfer model, for the first golfer who hits a hole-in-one at the 16th hole, awarded by Garmin, the leading smart watch brand.
In addition, BMW Thailand has also invited participating golfers to contribute to charitable causes, with part of the proceeds from the BMW Golf Cup 2024 being donated to the Chaipattana Foundation in support of His Majesty the late King Bhumibhol Adulyadej’s sustainable development projects.
