The first-ever BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Touring continues BMW’s forward-looking stance in everyday mobility with pioneering innovations that bolster its sensational combination of driving pleasure, sporty elegance, and modern functionality. Thai motorists will be able to choose from two variants of the i5 Touring thanks to the addition of an extra BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Touring (Pro) version, which offers supreme confidence and precision through electronically controlled shock absorbers, integral active steering and active roll comfort that are part of the Adaptive Suspension Professional package. Meanwhile, the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Touring brings extra sportiness with M Sport Suspension.

As the first all-electric model from the 5 Series Touring range, the new i5 Touring builds upon the distinctive qualities of its predecessors with dynamically stretched proportions – including the longest wheelbase in its class at 2,995 millimetres, up by 20 millimetres from the previous generation. The distinctive front end features a modern interpretation of the hallmark twin headlights and BMW grille, which projects far forward and is further accentuated with BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting. Two near-vertical LED elements on the flanks serve as direction indicators and daytime running lights.

From the side, the long roof spoiler emphasises the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Touring’s elegant extended shape, which gives the vehicle a roomy luggage capacity of 570 – 1,700 litres. The sleek yet expansive side profile is complemented by powerfully sculpted rear wheel arches, 20-inch M aerodynamic wheels in Bicolour Black Grey and extended rear LED lights. The included M Sport package adds extra touches of sporty refinement – from M Sport brake callipers in dark blue metallic to M High-gloss Shadowline around the flat side windows – that sleekly blends in with the panorama glass roof up top.

At the heart of this first all-electric 5 Series Touring is a 250 kW / 340 hp electric motor with BMW eDrive Technology, delivering up to 400 Nm torque to the rear wheels plus thrillingly explosive acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds – all the way to a top speed of 193 km/h. The high-voltage 83.9 kWh lithium-ion battery carries enough charge to reach an WLTP-standard range of up to 560 kilometres with an average electricity consumption of 16.5 kWh per 100 kilometres. The battery supports up to 205 kW of DC charging power. With a 22 kW Wallbox, the battery can recharge from 0 to 100% in 4 hours and 15 minutes.

On the inside, the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Touring keeps up the sensation of sporty elegance with a full suite of M Sport interior parts – including M leather steering wheel, M headliner in anthracite, and Dark Silver M and Aluminium Rhombicle accents across the cabin. CraftedClarity glass application for interior elements plus ambient lighting elevates an already richly furnished interior. Upholstered in perforated and quilted Veganza leather, the i5 Touring’s seats are cosy and refined in equal measure.

BMW Driving Assistant Plus offers safety and simplicity through features such as Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function, Lane Keep Assistant, and Steering Assistant, while Parking Assistant Plus Makes either bay or parallel parking a breeze. Customers can also choose to upgrade to Parking Assistant Professional which offers another level of comfort through Remote Control Parking via the My BMW App. BMW Connected Package Professional brings the full suite of ConnectedDrive offerings on board with built-in connectivity plus integration with your smartphone and a wireless charging tray.
