Bangkok. BMW Motorrad Thailand reaffirms its commitment to providing future mobility innovation by delivering the much-anticipated two new high-performance motorcycles to its esteemed clienteles in Thailand for the first time: the BMW CE 02, a groundbreaking electric two-wheeler, featuring 100% electrically powered technology, and the BMW R 1300 GS, a powerful adventure bike. This significant milestone underscores Thailand’s pivotal role as a strategic market for BMW Motorrad in Southeast Asia. The market stands out with its robust business performance and the trust of consumers who opt for quality products from the BMW Motorrad, evident with a total of 1,079 motorcycle registrations in 2023.
BMW Motorrad Thailand marked a historic moment by delivering the BMW CE 02 to Khun Nitit Chaijaroonrat, making him the world’s first customer to receive this motorcycle. Additionally, the BMW CE 02 also premiered globally at the recent Bangkok International Motor Show 2024. The model features futuristic design and cutting-edge technology, embodying a forward-looking concept of urban two-wheel mobility that is eco-friendly and uniquely stylish. In another notable milestone, Millennium Auto delivered nearly 20 BMW R 1300 GS motorcycles to the first group of customers in Thailand. Notably, Thailand is the first country with local assembly to deliver these exceptional bikes to customers. The BMW R 1300 GS is renowned for its robust performance, advanced features, and unparalleled riding experience, making it a favourite for bikers who are adventure enthusiasts.

The new BMW CE 02 is BMW Motorrad’s take on an electronic vehicle crafted for urban living – an “eParkourer” that provides dynamic mobility and great riding fun in everyday traveling. The new BMW CE 02 is powered by an air-cooled synchronous motor and two 48-volt, 1.96 kWh lithium-ion batteries that can be removed for care and maintenance. The engine produces up to 11 kW / 15 hp with 55 Nm max torque, giving the CE 02 snappy acceleration with just 3 seconds required to go from 0 to 50 km/h and a top speed of 95 km/h. Fully charged, the CE 02 can cover up to 95 kilometers – and the batteries can charge from 0 to 100% in 210 minutes or 20 to 80% in 102 minutes with the included quick charger, which can provide 1,500 watts of power.
The new BMW R 1300 GS is arriving as the “next level” of the GS touring enduro range, bringing with it an almost all-new design. The GS line’s legendary two-cylinder boxer engine returns once more in a more compact design than ever, offering 1,300 cc displacement, a total output of 107 kW / 145 hp at 7,750 rpm, and 149 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. These improvements make the R 1300 GS’s boxer engine the most powerful ever produced by BMW. Off-road adventurers can take advantage of the new “Enduro” riding mode, which enables an enhanced riding experience tailored specifically for journeys off the beaten track. “Rain” and “Road” riding modes help adapt riding characteristics to most road conditions, while “Eco” mode ensures maximum range and fuel economy.
The new R 1300 GS takes the traditional GS silhouette to a new level of compactness, with the new aluminum fuel tank’s flatter design a major contributor to the bike’s dynamic and light appearance. The R 1300 GS comes in three distinctive finishes: the coolly masculine Black Storm Metallic, the track-inspired Racing Blue Metallic, and the thoroughly sophisticated green-gold contrast of Option 719 Aurelius Green Metallic.
