Bangkok. BMW Motorrad has announced the appointment of Mr. Shivapada Ray as Head of BMW Motorrad Southeast Asia and Importers APAC, succeeding Mr. Miguel Llabres-Pohl – who is designated to take up a new position as Head of Sales Development and Management at BMW Motorrad USA from 1st June 2023 onwards.
Mr. Shivapada Ray commenced his journey at BMW Motorrad in 2016. His 22 years of experience
in diverse areas include management, sales and marketing in the motorcycle industry and have crafted Mr. Shivapada as an expert in multiple facets of business operations. He was responsible for setting up BMW Motorrad operations in India and drove the business to be the country’s largest premium motorcycle brand, with several edges of success.
In his new role as Head of BMW Motorrad Southeast Asia and Importers APAC, Mr. Shivapada Ray will be responsible for steering the development of BMW Motorrad operations in Thailand and Malaysia as well as ten import markets across Asia-Pacific including Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Brunei, New Caledonia and French Polynesia.
