Bangkok. BMW Group Thailand is reinforcing its premium automotive business in the digital age with a strategic organizational reshuffle. The company has announced the appointment of Khun Kawee Thanawatdej as the new Director of Marketing, BMW Thailand, succeeding Khun Preecha Ninatkiattikul who’s been appointed as the Director of Change Management and Special Projects, a new role that will focus on enhancing company efficiency and reinforcing its competitive edge. Reporting directly to the President & CEO of BMW Group Thailand, both roles will be instrumental in navigating the rapidly evolving business landscape. and reflecting BMW Group Thailand’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve in the premium automotive industry.

As the new Director of Marketing for BMW Thailand, the appointment of Khun Kawee Thanawatdej comes at a crucial time for the company, as it seeks to maintain its position as a leader in the premium automotive market. With his extensive experience in marketing and a deep understanding of Thai consumer behaviour, Khun Kawee is well-equipped to drive the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies that will help BMW Thailand stay ahead of the competition. His leadership and expertise will be instrumental in achieving the company’s growth objectives and ensuring continued success in the highly competitive Thai market.

Khun Kawee Thanawatdej brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry to his new role. With a strong background in strategic planning, market analysis, and digital transformation, Khun Kawee previously served as General Manager of Product, Pricing, and Digitalization for BMW Group Thailand, where he optimized product planning and digital marketing strategies. He also took a leading role in laying the strategic framework for electric models to support sustainable electric vehicle use in Thailand and initiated online sales projects while rolling out new digital platforms to enhance his team’s capabilities. In addition, Khun Kawee led various marketing initiatives, including the establishment of the offroad training field Enduro Park Thailand and the Luka Moto café for bikers, during his tenure as Marketing Manager of BMW Motorrad. His expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving BMW Thailand’s growth and maintaining its position as a leader in the premium automotive market.

As the new Director of Change Management and Special Projects, Khun Preecha Ninatkiattikul joined BMW Group Thailand in 2007 as General Manager, MINI Thailand before moving to Singapore to take on the role of Head of MINI at BMW Group Asia. He returned to serve as General Manager of MINI Thailand for six years before becoming Director of Marketing for BMW Thailand in 2021. During his three-year tenure, Khun Preecha led his team to overcome market challenges and contributed greatly to achievements for the company as the leader in Thailand’s premium automotive segment for 4 years consecutively. In his new position as Director of Change Management and Special Projects, he will work closely with the CEO of BMW Group Thailand to implement strategic plans in response to business changes and spearhead new corporate projects aimed at propelling BMW Group Thailand into the future of mobility.
