Bangkok. BMW Motorrad’s latest superbike is finally ready to take on Thailand’s roads and racetracks. The new BMW S 1000 RR arrives with cutting-edge refinements that take precision and performance to new heights – from enhanced aerodynamics and recalibrated throttle to additional riding modes. Thai riders can unleash the S 1000 RR’s uncompromising sportiness today at authorized dealers nationwide.

Mr. Shivapada Ray, Head of BMW Motorrad Southeast Asia and Importers APAC, said, “The S 1000 RR represents BMW Motorrad’s passion for pure performance and excitement. This latest edition of the superbike lives up to its enduring motorsport legacy with incredible attention to detail that squeezes every last drop of dynamism from the bike. We are proud to bring this extraordinary speedster to Thailand, and I look forward to seeing Thai riders redefine the limits of what’s possible on two wheels.”

Revisions to the new S 1000 RR start from the front with redesigned trim panels that now feature distinctive shark gills alongside winglets that generate 37% more downforce to keep the front wheel on the road. The high windscreen takes the rider into the aerodynamic equation, deflecting air flow to create less helmet vibrations. A new front wheel cover features integrated brake ducts to further improve brake system cooling. The M short-stroke throttle makes it even easier to accelerate with a reduced 58-degree rotation angle, while the new M Lightweight battery shaves 2 kilograms off the bike’s weight.

Pro riding modes are now integrated as standard in the new RR. Riders can access additional “Race Pro” modes with extra combinations of throttle response, engine torque, engine brake, and Hill Start Control Pro settings alongside five levels of adjustable ABS. Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) are also on board to ensure the absolute highest handling precision even on rougher road surfaces, while the new steering angle sensor adds Brake Slide Assist and Slide/Slip Control to keep the bike stable while slowing down and accelerating. Tyre Pressure Control monitor tyre pressure in real time to ensure confidence and safety throughout the ride.

Also included as standard in the new RR are cruise control and heated grips to enhance rider comfort – plus a passenger package that includes the rear seat, rear footrest and passenger seat cover.

The new BMW S 1000 RR retains the acclaimed 999cc, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke inline engine with oil and water cooling. Now featuring official Euro 5+ emission standard approval, the engine produces up to 154 kW / 210 hp of power with a max torque of 113 Nm at 10,000 rpm – giving the bike blistering performance with a 303 km/h top speed.

The standard edition of the new BMW S 1000 RR is available now in Bluestone Metallic. For an even more sporty look, customers can opt for the Light White M Motorsport variant – which comes equipped with an M Sport footrest, M Sport brake, and M Sport seat, black wheels with red pinstripes, and the iconic white-red-blue colour scheme of BMW M.
